A new way to cook.

One pot. Three steps. A proper meal.

For thousands of years, people cooked with clay.

In ancient kitchens across Mesopotamia, the Mediterranean and Asia, clay has shaped some of the world's oldest cooking traditions.

Heat moved slowly.

Flavor deepened gradually.

Meals took time.

Then everything got faster.

But some things were never meant to be rushed.

Good cooking is one of them.

Terracotta pot over fire

Mitipot brings cooking back to people who ran out of time for it.

From the family

Mitipot is built across Los Angeles, New York, and New Delhi by two generations of a family rooted in food and hospitality. We believe the modern kitchen still has something to learn from the people who came before us—from the care they brought to cooking, the value they placed on time, and the way food brought people together. Mitipot carries that ancestral wisdom forward, thoughtfully redesigned for how we live now.

FAQ

01How does Mitipot work?

Mitipot comes in two parts: a handmade clay pot and the ingredients designed to cook inside it. Every meal follows the same three-step system — Base, Protein, Finish — all completed by you in the pot. The ingredients arrive slow-cooked, pre-portioned, and ready for the final cook, with a detailed guide for every dish.

02What comes with First Fire?

First Fire includes one handmade Mitipot, five Bases, three Proteins, four Tadka finishing oils, Bloomasala, and detailed cooking guides.

Together, the included ingredients make five dishes — 10 servings total.

03How much cooking do I actually have to do?

We handle the slow, time-consuming work upfront. Every meal follows the same three simple steps: Base, Protein, Finish. Combine the ingredients in the pot, follow the guide, and complete the final cook yourself.

It takes about 15–20 minutes. No chopping, measuring, or long ingredient list required. If you can stir, you can cook a Mitipot meal.

04Can I make the meals my own?

Absolutely. First Fire is fully vegan as supplied, but Mitipot is designed to be flexible.

Use the included proteins, or add your own chicken, lamb, beef, paneer, tofu, or vegetables. You can also add butter, cream, or anything else that suits the way you cook.

The Base gives you the foundation. The rest is yours.

05How long does the pot last, and how do I care for it?

A Mitipot is designed for approximately 15–25 cooks, depending on heat, handling, and care.

Always begin with food or liquid in the pot, heat it gradually, avoid sudden temperature changes, hand wash it gently, and let it dry completely before storing. Every system includes a detailed first-use and care guide.

Additional pots will be available separately.

Stir the pot.
